The Top 40 Wines of 2023 is finally out after 1 and a half months (we are late again). For the first time, Chateau Minuty Prestige Rose made the top spot, joining Whispering Angel Rose (twice winner) in leading the pack. This shows that Rose demand is well and strong in Singapore. The main story of 2023 though, is a story of consolidation with supply disruptions and cost increases making the wine universe somewhat smaller. In this tough climate, we witnessed many small wineries
fall by the wayside, yet at the same time, we saw
resilience and ingenuity exhibited by many wineries to remain steadfast in making quality wines, and retelling their stories to consumers.
There are
many examples of such wines in our 2023 list, which in our mind is a unique list this year as it celebrates not only great tasting wine, but also a salute to the triumph of the spirit against adversity.
