About the wine
The Terrazas de los Andes Reserva Malbec is made from grapes harvested in the foothills of the Andes at an elevated altitude of 1070 meters above sealevel. The age of the vineyards are between 20 and 80 years old. After fermentation, the wine is aged in French oak barrels for at least a year before commercial release. The cool climate, old vine age and extended barrel maturity result in a Malbec that is elegant even as the varietal is famous for being powerful and packed with loads of fruits.
The current vintage has not been rated yet but the previous 5 vintages have all been rated above 90 points by wine critics including James Suckling and Decanter. At this price point, the Terrazas de los Andes Reserva Malbec offers great value.
The Terrazas de los Andes Reserva Malbec is bright red colour with purple shades. The wine shows intense floral and fruity notes with a notable presence of violets, ripe black cherry and plum aromas. The Terrazas Reserva Malbec reveals a toasty and spicy character of black pepper and chocolate. On the palate, its sweet and juicy mouthfeel delivers finesse, delicate tannins and an elegant finish of black fruits.
